After moving to New York City in 2016, Michael wanted to bring the historical stories of the LGBTQ+ Movement to life in an easy-to-understand and accessible way. Launched during Pride 2018, Michael created Christopher Street Tours. On his tours, Michael has welcomed tens of thousands of people from all across the world with an interest in learning more about LGBTQ+ history and activism today.

Michael has been featured in Metrosource magazine, Attitude magazine, and ProudOut.com. He has worked with groups including Google, HuffPost, HBO, Teach for America, New York University, and more.
